Welcome back, you guys. Welcome to another episode of Bless This Mess. It's your new bestie Tay Ray. And today's episode is called Gratitude. It is episode five. I'm so excited. Before we get into it, I just want to catch up a little bit. I feel like a brand new person. And I know I already talked about this in other episodes. But you guys, if you really just want clarity and to just feel like refreshed, start getting rid of things. Let go of things, throw them away. You don't need them. Give them away. Sell them on Facebook Marketplace. I don't know. But the more I've cleaned and gotten rid of stuff, I can just tell like I'm becoming a better human. I'm becoming so much better. I'm becoming Taylor 5.0. Like I'm becoming the best version of me. And I can get ready super fast now because I don't have all this makeup. I just have the like necessities of what I need. I don't have 5,000 products in my bathroom on my counter. Like everything is looking so good. I'm going as far as like tones and colors now. And um, I have a professional stylist gonna come in and she's gonna help me like get rid of the clothes because it's really hard for me to get rid of clothes. Clothes I don't even wear, but they're like, I'm just like, oh, that's cute. Yeah, I need professional help with that. But besides that, I've done pretty good on my own and I'm really excited about it. I've gotten things on my to-do list done that would take me months, like done in days because my house is taken care of. I really think like the house is like the inside of your mind. So it's like how much noise, try to keep everything like all the same colors and tones and mood, and like what do you want to live in? Really think about it. I feel like we just kind of accumulate all this stuff and we don't realize like how noisy it can be. So this is your sign to go clean if you haven't or you need to, whether it's like even just laundry, just do some cleaning while you listen to this. You're gonna feel so much better after. Also, guys, I'm on 42 days no sugar. That is insane. I don't do honey, like that's how much no sugar I'm having. No sativias, no sugar-free products, nothing vanilla. Like, I am literally just fruit, which fruit tastes so good, by the way. So right now I'm like having a thing for pears. I love pears. But yeah, I'm just like, I've changed my taste buds so much that I don't even think I could enjoy a cookie because I would see how real it isn't, because I'm only eating real foods right now that are like the closest form to what how God made them. So it's been crazy, but also I feel so good. I just don't know if I can go back. I mean, if you think about it, there's so many good fruits, and fruits do have a lot of sugar, so it's not like I'm super sugar-free, but yeah, I just don't know if I can go back to the baked goods. Don't think I can do it. So I'm just encouraging you to get out of your comfort zone and to change one thing you're super comfortable with and see how your life changes because my life has changed so much just from changing my diet, and that's why I'm so excited. And I know I sound like overly change your diet, but literally, whatever it is, it worked for me, it removed brain fog, bloating, all the things I feel so good, and then also shout out to my bestie Tara. She gifted me these PJs for my birthday. I love you, you're the sweetest. So let's get into episode five, gratitude. What is the definition of gratitude? An active mindset of recognizing and appreciating the good in your life. So just being thankful. Life is such a blessing, and I don't think that we just like slow down enough to just enjoy the present moment. I think we are so fast-paced, and it takes us so much focus just to be present. It's a miracle just to be here. I mean, we get to wake up every morning and feel everything. And I think we're just so glued to our phones, and things are pulling us left and right that we don't actually get to like sit and be thankful and present just for ourselves. Life is a gift from God, and He is giving you so many blessings every single day. If you would just notice them, just really take a second and be present and notice them. I don't think we really stop for a second and just like connect to our breath. Like, that is like God inside of us. That is like our life force right there. Just take a breath. It feels so good. I'm just so full of gratitude and thankful for life. So that's why I'm sharing it with you guys. Because I'm like, we should all be doing this, and we're so wrapped up in our lives, and we just need to take a second and just be thankful we woke up this morning. What a blessing, what a gift that we get to do things in our lives, even the mundane things. Like, thank God we get to do them, you know. So I'm already feeling so like overwhelmed with gratitude. Um, but yeah, just think for a second of all the good things going on in your life. Think of just make a list, honestly, of everything that's working out for you right now, everything that's going right. It could be as simple as like my Amazon package got here on time today. Or my hair did my hair looks really good today. Like these are little wins, and they add up and they're meaningful. We always are striving and going for these huge things when like the little simple things add up, and there's so much to be grateful for. Life is a gift and it's meant to be enjoyed. I really do believe that we should be waking up every morning like we won the lottery. Like you just won the lottery, you woke up this morning. You should be in pure excitement and joy. That's how you should be feeling when you wake up in the morning. Thank you, God, you woke me up today. That's how we should be. We do get consumed and overwhelmed with the world and the little things that annoy and trigger us throughout the day. So try to quiet the noise and just focus on the good. Like this person made you mad, or this something happened. There's always little things that are trying to get our attention and pull us out of gratitude. And right when they happen, just think to myself or to yourself, like, oh, this just made me mad, but the sun is out and the weather's good, so that's a win. Like, try to really stop yourself in your tracks and stop your mind immediately when it wants to go there and be like, Yeah, but I'm breathing, so it's not that bad. You know what I mean? Really fight for your joy, fight for it. It's good that we have air in our lungs and we have a roof over our head, and we have clothes, so just like don't worry so much. I feel like we worry a lot, and it's it's not needed when you can really be grateful. It you can't worry and be grateful at the same time, they can't coexist at the same time. You have to pick one. So, what are you gonna pick today? So much doom and gloom going on, and I feel like we always get in this cycle where we just talk about it or we worry so much, and I don't think that's what we were made to do is sit around and worry. I think God made us for a purpose, and we should be focusing on that and not on all the bad things going on around us. So anytime you're feeling worried, just go to Scripture Matthew. Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life. What you will wear or drink is not life more than food and the body more than clothes. Matthew 6 25. That one's really good. There's also another one. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, will he not much more clothe you? You of little faith. Matthew 6 30. Those are so good, and they just bring a little bit of peace to you to remind you that God has got your back and everything is gonna be okay. You need to trust that God will fight every battle, handle everything in your life. He is like the creator of the stars and the moon in the universe. Like he can do it. You just have to believe in trust. So go and create something. Go do something with the day that he's given you, right? It's his gift to you, and your gift to him is what you do with it and how you treat people and how you treat yourself and how you show up daily. Let's say I give you a million dollars. How do you feel? How excited are you? Actually, feel to yourself right now. Like close your eyes and be like, oh my gosh, I just got a million dollars. How excited are you? You are so excited. So now let's say I give you a million dollars, but I tell you you're gonna die tomorrow. How do you feel? That is just one of the like examples that life is so valuable. Things really don't matter if you're not healthy and alive, like life is precious. So you should be waking up every morning like you just won a million dollars. You should be so excited. I just I feel like for so long I wasn't that way, and so that's why I'm trying to really relay this message to other people because we should be just so thankful and so full of joy that we're here and we get to experience life and be with people we love and do things that we love. Like it is such a blessing, and I think we get so wrapped up in our own stuff that we don't stop and realize what a blessing it is every day to wake up and just be full of joy and be healthy and breathing. And yeah, that's why today is all about gratitude, baby. We are gonna get it in you that we need to be more grateful. God blesses you so many times throughout the day. So go do something. Go do something with your life while you're here. Go create something, go help someone, work on your communication skills, try to be more gentle when you speak, spread more kindness, read a book. If you want to go the next level, um read a book. I just I love reading books right now because I stopped scrolling as much. But I remember one of my first books that really changed my life was How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dell Carnegie, I think. And it it really helped me with how I communicate with people and it changed my life. So if you really want to keep up-leveling and changing your mindset, read some books. There's people who have done what you've done, there's people who have really insightful knowledge that are older than you that you can learn from. So yeah. I know that there's a lot going on in the world, and a lot of it is bad, and it's really good to be self-aware, but it's already on the news. So we are getting bombarded with bad news all the time. We do not need to be sitting around and also talking about it. That's just how I feel. I wish there was a news channel that only talked about all the good things going on in the world and all the peace around the world because that would instill hope into people instead of fear and anxiety all the time. Like, it would be so cute if there's a news channel that talked about orphans finding their forever home or kittens being rescued every day. I know kittens are getting rescued because my girlfriend Hannah, she is always rescuing a new cat. So it's like, I know there's good people out there and I know there's good things happening. We just don't see it on the news as much. And so we're not getting fed all this really good stuff. We're getting fed all the bad in the world, but there's really good people out there, and not everyone is out to get you, and there's people that will help you and love you, strangers. So just keep believing in the good in the world, keep spreading good news and sharing kindness and being gentle with each other. I think it's more important now than ever. So yeah, this is just me being more and more positive each and every day because it's what we need. Anyways, that was so off topic. But a grateful attitude is built on trust. Thankfulness should come easy to you from your heart to your lips. So give thanks in all circumstances and see how many times you can thank God today. You know your heart is clean by what comes out of your mouth. So really watch what gets into your heart. Watch what you listen to, what you are watching on TV. Just really make sure you're trying to keep your heart clean so you can speak of goodness to other people. I would say watch your words and really try to spread joy and kindness. Share the good news. Think about it. God's blessed you before, so he will definitely do it again. I think of the times God has blessed me. He has blessed me with my sobriety for six years, he has blessed me with my church and friend groups and my acting and just becoming this best version of me. And I'm just so thankful. So really believe him for more. Ask for more and push yourself daily. Okay, so just keep being grateful and showing up every day, doing your best, and watch how fast your life can change in a short period of time. God can really turn your life around, but you have to take some of the first steps and stay grateful in the process, no matter where you are in life. That was so much fun. I'm gonna pray you out real fast. I pray that whoever is listening right now starts to wake up each morning with a full heart of joy and gratitude. And I just pray that God opens doors for you this week that no man can shut, and you feel his goodness all around you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Thank you, beauties. That was so fun. Remember to stay in the present moment and full of gratitude. Another thing I've been doing is when I eat, I don't have my phone on me, no TV and no music, and I'm really present with my food. And I'm very thankful for it. So, yeah, maybe try that for one of your meals and see see how it goes. It was so good catching up.
